Description
Responsible for assisting Project Managers with the day-to-day project management of construction projects as assigned. The ultimate goal is to support the process of ensuring the projects are completed within the restraints of time, quality, and budget.
AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY
- Assisting and coordinating with construction site superintendents and subcontractors
- Tracking and maintaining of official construction documents
- Issuing, managing and tracking all change orders and sub-contracts
- Managing, preparing and follow up of close out documents
- Management and tracking of shop drawings from all project suppliers
- Ensuring project documentation is current, organized and flows throughout the project team efficiently
- Attending Construction/Project Management Meetings, taking Minutes of the Meeting and distributing to participants within 3 business days
- Assisting with the management of project communication and information flow between all stakeholders
- Providing administrative support in the preparation of
progressive billings and accounting reconciliations for various construction projects - Providing support as required to various other departments, including Development Accounting
- Providing administration support in all phases of project lifecycle and communications
- Weekly/Monthly reporting of work/progress and tracking updates from the previous month
- Tracking and maintaining of official construction and internal documents.
- Reviewing and tracking shop drawings
- General administrative work
- Any other reasonable tasks required to meet the requirements of this position in a professional and complete manner
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
- Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in appropriate field of study or equivalent work experience
- Project management training and certifications as asset
- Three years of experience in a related field
- Proficient in Microsoft Office products and Teams
- General understanding of Procore construction software would be beneficial
- Knowledge of file management, transcription, and other administrative procedures
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent time management skills
- Ability to adapt to changing environments and timelines
- Excellent attention to detail
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills
- Ability to organize priorities based on deadlines
- Valid Driver’s license
